Connect Huawei e5372s router to your PC using the USB cable.
Install Modem Driver from the CD which appears on connecting the router to the PC as shown below.
Open Device Manager, Expand Ports section and look for the COM ports as given in the picture below.
If you can see a Huwaei COM port as given in the picture above, proceed to the next step, that is to switch the router to Download Mode.
How to switch to Download mode?
Press Power + Menu together and when it says Force Download quickly press Menu again to enter “Force download” (Your router screen should show an Arrow symbol similar to the screenshot given below).
Open Device Manager, expand port section again and note down the number of both the ports. (In my case it is Port 11 and 12 and it can be different in your case.)
Download the files from any of the links given below:
Open Huawei Flasher, close it and reopen it again. You will find a file named. Type the correct port numbers in this file as copied in the previous step.
Choose the “extract” option and select the File E5372 Update 21.270.11.00.1151.exe
Choose the Select Firmware menu and navigate to the “.HMF” file extracted in the previous step. Now select Flash Modem and choose Resurrect Mode.
Huawei Flasher will detect your router and display the information of your device.
Wait for Huawei Flasher to finish the firmware writing process. If there is an error, don’t panic as this is normal.
Once the process is completed, close Huawei Flasher and turn off the router by removing the battery.
Run E5372 Update 21.270.11.00.1151 or E5372s..
If your device is still locked you can download and install the firmware given here.
